Raed al-Saleh, the Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, has asserted that the persistent bombardment of residential sectors in Aleppo by the SDF organization reflects a “blatant disregard for the lives and safety of civilians.” His statement comes in the wake of recent attacks that have claimed the lives of both military personnel and residents in the city.

Civilian and Military Casualties in Recent Attacks

On Tuesday, the SDF organization launched drone strikes against Syrian Arab Army outposts near the Sheikh Maqsoud district, leading to the martyrdom of one soldier and leaving others injured. Parallel to these strikes, the SDF targeted living quarters in the vicinity of the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods, as well as surrounding areas of Aleppo. This shelling resulted in the deaths of three civilians, including two women, while approximately 15 people sustained injuries, including two children.

Minister’s Vision for a Unified Syria

Through a post on the X platform, Minister al-Saleh reflected on the long-standing hardships faced by the nation. He remarked that after a history defined by shelling, displacement, and forced migration, “Syrians now have the right to live in safety and stability within a unified, strong, and prosperous homeland, based on citizenship and safeguarding the dignity of all its people.”
