In response to an assault carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), medical personnel have completed the transfer of patients from the Aleppo Internal Medicine Hospital to al-Razi Hospital. This emergency relocation effort was deemed necessary to safeguard the lives of those under care and ensure the continuity of medical services after the facility was targeted.
Medical Facility Targeted in Aleppo
According to reports released by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) on 2026-01-07, the Aleppo Internal Medicine Hospital was forced to move its entire patient population to the al-Razi facility. The disruption to the healthcare center occurred as a direct result of the aggression by the SDF, which impacted the hospital’s safety and operational capacity.
