Beijing, Dec.6 (SANA) – A new era of industrial collaboration has begun following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Syrian–Chinese Business Council and China’s Suzhou Land Group on Tuesday. This partnership with the prominent smart industrial city management firm is designed to bolster industrial ties and bring sophisticated global expertise to the Syrian Arab Republic.
Formalized in the city of Suzhou, China, the agreement focuses on adopting innovative management strategies for factories and industrial zones. By merging these practices with artificial intelligence, the initiative aims to catalyze development within Syria’s industrial sector. Furthermore, the MoU establishes a twinning program to connect Syrian and Chinese industrial hubs.
Strategic Objectives and Knowledge Transfer
Fadi Ali al-Muhaymid, Chairman of the Council, emphasized that “the MoU represents a practical step toward building strategic partnerships that contribute to knowledge transfer, localizing industry, and creating a productive investment environment that serves Syria’s economic future.”
According to al-Muhaymid, “the agreement covers planning and managing major industrial cities in Syria, providing advanced solutions using modern technologies in administration and operations, as well as exchanging delegations and visits between Syrian and Chinese industrialists and investors.”
Immediate Implementation for Economic Recovery
The Council has confirmed that work to fulfill the MoU’s objectives will commence immediately. This comes as Syria enters a stage of economic recovery, presenting substantive opportunities for reconstruction and a revitalized industrial takeoff.
Suzhou Land Group stands as a premier integrated industrial entity in China, possessing significant experience in the creation and operation of industrial zones. Notably, the group’s complexes host major German industrial firms, reflecting its established reputation for Sino-European cooperation and the transfer of industrial knowledge.
