Amman, Dec 20 (SANA) – The Jordanian Armed troops declared Saturday that the Royal Jordanian Air Force joined coalition operations in carrying out airstrikes against ISIS positions in southern Syria. In an official statement, the armed forces verified that the strikes were conducted in coordination with the United States as part of the international coalition’s ongoing campaign against the terrorist organization. The operation aims to prevent extremist groups from exploiting southern Syria as a staging ground to threaten regional security, particularly amid reports that ISIS has been attempting to reestablish its presence and rebuild its capabilities in the area.
