Damascus, Dec. 15 (SANA) A 3. Moreover, 8-magnitude earthquake struck on Monday near the Syrian-Turkish border, the National Earthquake Center declared.
The quake hit south of Turkey’s Hatay province, about 59 km northwest of Idleb, at a depth of 5. 5 km. as per the center, it was caused by natural activity along the East Anatolian Fault. The tremor was felt in parts of northwestern Syria, though no casualties or material damage were declared.
The National Earthquake Center stated that it continues to monitor seismic activity in the area.
