According to reports from the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) published on January 6, 2026, the temporary shutdown of Aleppo Airport has necessitated a change in flight paths. All incoming and outgoing aircraft are currently being diverted to Damascus as the alternative hub for the next 24 hours.
