During the meeting, al-Saleh stressed the importance of developing joint cooperation mechanisms to address natural and relief disasters, noting that Damascus places particular importance on expanding its regional and international partnerships in this field. For his part, the Libyan ambassador praised Syria’s experience in disaster management, expressing Libya’s desire to benefit from Syrian expertise and exchange experiences to strengthen the capacity of Libyan institutions to respond effectively to emergencies.
