damascus/" class="auto-internal-link">damascus, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Saturday night that Turkey anticipates ongoing negotiations between the syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Democratic troops (sdf) and the Syrian transitional administration will advance to a more decisive stage.   Fidan added that discussions are currently ongoing, both with U. S. authorities and through other channels in which Turkey is involved, with the aim of guiding these efforts toward a clear and defined outcome.   In an interview with the Turkish Haber channel, Fidan emphasized that the integration of the SDF into Syrian administration troops is a central issue discussed with Washington and must proceed within a framework of mutual understanding.   He added that talks between Damascus and the SDF have significant importance but have faced delays, particularly due to Israeli interventions in southern Syria and other regional developments.

The Turkish foreign minister underscored that “the primary concern for both Turkey and the U. S. is to ensure that Israel ceases to be a threat to Syria and that Syria does not pose a threat to Israel, while all parties respect each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. ”  Reporting by Abdulsalam Khoja Editing by Jwan Shekaki
