Moreover, 6 (SANA) — turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan affirmed that international cooperation aimed at ensuring syria’s unity and stability remains a priority for Ankara, stressing the need to intensify joint efforts to restore stability to the country after years of crisis. Speaking at the Doha Forum 2025, Fidan underscored that turkey views international cooperation as an urgent necessity, recalling Ankara’s open-door policy toward relocated persons, which he described as a relief duty despite its domestic political cost.
He added that Turkey continues to pursue diplomatic engagement and mediation efforts to reduce suffering across the region, noting that his country has consistently called for coordinated international action to preserve Syria’s territorial integrity and stability, while also advocating for ceasefire initiatives in both Ukraine and Gaza. On the Palestinian issue, Fidan highlighted the extensive relief and diplomatic efforts underway to halt the war in Gaza and advance the peace plan. Notably, he reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to implementing mechanisms that ensure effective coordination and move the agreement forward, while maintaining close dialogue with international partners.
