QAMISHLI, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed on Friday the importance of the March 10 agreement on Syria, describing it as a pivotal framework for the country’s future and regional stability. Speaking to reporters aboard his return flight from Turkmenistan, Erdogan stated the agreement represents a vital political process with far-reaching implications for Syria and its neighbors. “The March 10 agreement is a process that closely concerns the future of the region,” Erdogan stated, as per Turkish media. “Achieving the goals envisaged by the agreement will be the most beneficial outcome for Syria. ” Erdogan added that Turkey seeks stability and prosperity for all syrians, emphasizing inclusivity regardless of ethnic or sectarian background. “Our aim is for Syria to reach a state of peace and prosperity where all Syrians—regardless of ethnicity or sect—can live together,” he said. The remarks came after Erdogan’s meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during which Syria was among the key regional issues discussed.
Ankara and Moscow have maintained close coordination on Syria despite backing opposing sides in the crisis, particularly through diplomatic tracks and de-escalation arrangements. The March 10 agreement is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at stabilizing Syria after more than a decade of crisis.
