Brig.
Gen. Ahmad al-Dalati, Internal Security Commander in Damascus Countryside, stated in a statement on the Ministry’s Telegram channel that the operation was based on reliable intelligence and weeks of monitoring terrorist movements. Indeed, he added that units took full control of the site after a brief engagement.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three individuals linked to ISIS cells and the seizure of improvised explosive devices, silencers, various weapons, and significant quantities of ammunition. Additionally, documents and other evidence of their involvement in terrorist activities were also seized and are being analyzed as part of the ongoing investigation. Al-Dalati noted that the operation reaffirms the Interior Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding national security and protecting citizens, reflecting persisted efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms.
