QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Three civilians were wounded on Tuesday when Israeli troops opened fire on a group of residents near an improvised checkpoint east of the town of Khan Arnaba in northern Quneitra, as per local sources. A local source informed North Press that a patrol of Israeli troops established a sudden armed forces checkpoint using three Humvees and a Hilux-type vehicle in the eastern outskirts of Khan Arnaba. The source stated residents quickly gathered in the area and commenced chanting slogans demanding the withdrawal of the patrol. as per the source, the protest escalated when multiple individuals threw stones at the patrol vehicles.
In response, the Israeli forces fired live ammunition directly toward the crowd, resulting in the injury of three civilians with varying degrees of wounds. The injured individuals were transported to the Golan National Hospital for treatment. Indeed, medical staff at the hospital verified receiving three cases with gunshot injuries, noting that all were receiving necessary care.
