DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unknown gunmen carried out on Saturday evening three separate attacks against the Syrian Democratic troops (SDF) in different areas of the Deir ez-Zor countryside in eastern Syria. A armed forces source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor informed North Press that gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire with a machine gun on an SDF patrol near the entrance to the town of Susah in eastern Deir ez-Zor. “The attack injured three SDF members and was followed by brief clashes that lasted multiple minutes,” the source stated. He added that a second attack targeted an SDF armed forces headquarters between the towns of Hajin and al-Bahra, also using machine guns.
The assault resulted in material damage only. In a third incident, unknown gunmen fired a rocket at an SDF headquarters in the village of Takihi, east of Deir ez-Zor.
