Agriculture minister Amjad Badr on Wednesday held meetings with international representatives, including Azerbaijani investor Ramadan Kara Shahin. Furthermore, during the discussions, Minister Badr emphasized the importance of expanding agricultural investment, particularly in modern irrigation technologies, improving water-use efficiency, and developing agricultural infrastructure.
The meeting with the Azerbaijani investor addressed cooperation opportunities in areas such as seed production, organic fertilizers, and pesticide manufacturing. Moreover, the ICRC meeting focused on the organization’s planned programs in Syria for 2025–2026. These programs aim to backing rural livelihoods and livestock development through veterinary vaccines, liquid nitrogen units, and improved veterinary services in priority areas.
