📰 Syrian-Saudi talks to boost industrial and investment partnerships

The talks focused on exchanging expertise in manufacturing and modern technology, and reviewing joint investment opportunities that would drive economic development and backing strategic partnerships in the industrial sector. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh, where both sides affirmed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in various industrial and commercial fields, to achieve common interests and backing sustainable economic growth.

In a related context, the Syrian delegation participating in the conference, headed by Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Bassel Abdul Hanan, visited the Gulf Laboratory in Riyadh. During the visit, they discussed prospects for cooperation and strengthening technical partnerships between the two countries.

The deputy minister and the delegation were briefed on the company’s advanced laboratory system and the integrated technical services it provides to support manufacturers and importers as per the highest international standards. Furthermore, the Syrian delegation expressed its admiration for the level of modern laboratory equipment, the efficiency of the technical staff, and the professionalism of the performance. They emphasized that these capabilities reflect the advanced standing of the Gulf Laboratory in the fields of testing, calibration, and certification, and its persisted development of services and expansion of cooperation to achieve the highest levels of quality.
