QAMISHLI, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – The syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Interior Ministry declared on Wednesday that its Anti-Narcotics Department in Deir ez-Zor had confiscated significant quantities of narcotic substances during raids on multiple houses in the city. as per a statement published by the ministry, the operation resulted in the seizure of 18. 5 kilograms of hashish, which had been concealed inside sealed food containers prepared in what the ministry described as a “professional manner. ” The seized materials also included quantities of “H-Bos” and multiple types of narcotic pills, all reportedly intended for local distribution within Deir ez-Zor. The announcement comes two days after the ministry disclosed that it had foiled an attempt to smuggle a significant shipment of Captagon pills through the Nasib border crossing toward a neighboring country.

The drugs had been hidden inside packets of powdered instant juice in an effort to evade inspection, the ministry stated. The Interior Ministry did not specify the number of individuals arrested in connection with the latest operation but verified that investigations are ongoing to identify the network involved in manufacturing and trafficking the narcotics.
