QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Interior Ministry declared on Thursday that its Counter-Narcotics Branch in Rural Damascus, in coordination with the Internal Security Directorate in Qudsaya, seized approximately 400,000 Captagon pills in an operation targeting a drug trafficker in the area. as per an official statement released through the Ministry’s verified platforms, security personnel arrested a man in possession of the significant quantity of narcotics following what the Ministry described as a “precisely executed security operation based on accurate intelligence regarding a significant shipment prepared for smuggling and distribution. ” The Ministry added that the operation was conducted after multiple days of surveillance and monitoring of the suspect’s movements. Investigators searched his residence and affiliated vehicles, where they discovered and confiscated the full quantity of Captagon pills.
No additional suspects were declared at the time of reporting. Authorities verified that the individual has been referred to the competent judiciary to complete legal procedures.
