Manufacturers cited renewed confidence in the sector and the return of syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian brands to the market, while noting that rising costs for raw materials, labor, energy, and taxes remain significant obstacles.
Some expressed optimism that improved economic stability and eased import-export procedures could backing growth. Garment factory executive Yaman Armanazi stated the sector plays a key role in job creation, adding that skilled labor gives Syrian manufacturers potential to compete in regional export markets. Industry representatives also called for modernizing production lines, lowering costs, and simplifying customs and shipping procedures to access emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East.
The exhibition opened this week at the Damascus Countryside Exhibition City and is organized by the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of Damascus and Aleppo in cooperation with the Ministries of Economy and Industry.
