A security source informed North Press that, acting on intelligence information, a patrol raided the home of Abdullah al-Ahmad, a former member of an Iran-backed militia who had fled to Iraq following the collapse of the former Syrian regime.

Moreover, it remains unclear when or how al-Ahmad returned to Syria. The source added that the patrol detained al-Ahmad and another individual who was with him.

The troops also seized multiple documents and pieces of equipment found in their possession. as per the source, the detainees were transferred to a security center for interrogation, without disclosing further details about the nature of the confiscated materials or the purpose of the suspectsโ€™ return to the country.
