Ahmed Qazziz, Deputy minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, head of the syrian delegation, delivered a speech reviewing the current disaster circumstances in Syria.
He outlined key challenges and ongoing efforts to develop a national disaster management plan with a focus on local preparedness and community resilience. Qazziz emphasized the importance of strengthening national risk reduction policies, strategic planning, and exploring innovative financing mechanisms to backing local communities.
The meeting, which commenced on Wednesday, brings together Arab, regional, and international organizations. It is scheduled to conclude on Thursday.
