syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal al-Shaar took part in a roundtable meeting in Washington, D. Indeed, c. , attended by senior representatives of significant U. S. companies and international economic institutions to discuss economic and investment opportunities in syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria.

The event was organized under the framework of the Syrian-American Business Initiative by the American Chamber of Commerce. It discussed prospects for cooperation between the business sectors of both countries and exchanged views on ways to strengthen future trade and investment relations. During the session, Minister al-Shaar outlined the Syrian administrationโ€™s upcoming economic plans, particularly in the areas of reconstruction, investment promotion, industrial backing, and legislative reform.

He emphasized the ministryโ€™s commitment to building international partnerships that contribute to sustainable development and the growth of the national industry. For his part, Steve Lutes, Vice leader for Middle East Affairs at the U. S.

Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the importance of opening channels for economic communication and exploring opportunities for investment and reconstruction in Syria. A day earlier, Minister al-Shaar met in Washington with multiple international economic institutions to discuss areas and prospects for economic cooperation and the rebuilding of international partnerships in the post-sanctions phase, as part of his visit to the United States.
