A syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian delegation headed by Deputy Economy and Industry minister Basil Abdul Hanan to take part in the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in the Saudi capital on Monday, held this year under the banner of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS) 2025. Kamil noted that the summit will discuss UNIDO’s proposed industrial recovery program, which was prepared in coordination with the Economy and Industry Ministry and relevant administration bodies. He stated the program is expected to move forward toward approval during the conference proceedings. He added that Syria’s presence at GMIS underscores the ministry’s commitment to expanding Syria’s participation in significant international economic events, building effective partnerships that backing the rehabilitation of the industrial sector, boosting production capacity and accelerating economic recovery amid current challenges.

The conference brings together ministers, experts and specialists from UNIDO member states to advance industrial policy dialogue, promote recovery frameworks and explore partnerships for sustainable industrial growth.
