The event is being held at the Cham Hotel in the Syrian capital. Speaking during the conference’s first session, Minister al-Mustafa stated that the role of the media during periods of revolution lies in “providing the popular momentum needed to sustain public mobilization, shaping shared narratives, and framing the revolutionary process. ” He added that the media must also “contribute to the effectiveness of transitional justice and help reveal the truth. ”
