The operation also led to the arrest of multiple individuals wanted by international law enforcement agencies for their involvement in cross-border drug trafficking. “The operation is part of a series of ongoing international efforts carried out by Syria’s Anti-Narcotic Directorate in collaboration with both neighboring and allied countries,” the statement read. It emphasized that these efforts are part of a broader framework of continuous security and intelligence coordination aimed at tackling the global drug trade.
