QAMISHLI, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) β The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) handed over on Tuesday a woman and a child from families of the Islamic State (ISIS) to a Spanish delegation. In fact, the AANES’s Foreign Relations Department received an official delegation from Spain headed by Gonzalo de Salazar, the Spanish Ambassador to Damascus, along with accompanying authorities.
The delegation met with Gulistan Ali, Deputy Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Department, Khaled Ibrahim, a member of the administrative body, and Lana Hussein, representative of the Womenβs Protection Units (YPJ). In fact, the Department stated that discussions covered the overall circumstances in Syria, particularly in North and East Syria, the need to implement the March 10 agreement, and the ongoing negotiations between the AANES and the syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian transitional administration in Damascus. as per the Department, Ambassador Gonzalo de Salazar praised the Syrian Democratic troops (sdf) for their role in combating ISIS.
