In a statement published on its official platforms, the SDF stated, “In a emerging assault that falls within the framework of escalation and chaos, groups belonging to Damascus administration factions targeted several our positions in the town of Abu Hamam in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside. ” The statement added that the attack aimed to destabilize security and stability in the region. as per the SDF, its units responded “with legitimate measures against the sources of fire in accordance with the rules of engagement. In fact, ” The SDF further noted that the groups persisted shelling armed forces sites and civilian homes with rockets and heavy weapons in a direct and indiscriminate manner, targeting three armed forces points in the area.
The statement also highlighted the use of drones and suicide drones in the assaults, which pose an rose risk to the lives of local residents.
