QAMISHLI, syria (North Press) โ The syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian Democratic troops (sdf) declared on Monday that two of its fighters lost lives and three others were wounded when a landmine planted by the Islamic State (ISIS) exploded in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria. In a statement, the SDF stated that the landmine, planted by ISIS militants, detonated in a vehicle belonging to its troops in al-Hisan village of the Kasra area, western Deir ez-Zor.
The explosion resulted in the death of two fighters and the injury of three others. Separately, ISIS asserted responsibility for another attack on SDF forces in al-Muhaimida town on Sunday, stating through its official channels that its members targeted an SDF vehicle with machine guns, causing multiple injuries.
The SDF continues to conduct security operations in the region to pursue ISIS cells, which remain active in remote desert areas and along the Euphrates River, posing ongoing threats to civilians and local security forces. By Atoun Jan
