DAMASCUS, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – A armed forces delegation from the syrian Democratic troops (sdf) arrived in Damascus to discuss the mechanism for integrating SDF units into the Syrian army, sources informed North Press on Monday. The delegation includes SDF leaders Sipan Hamo and Sozdar Haji, as well as commanders Abjar Dawoud and Shaker Deir ez-Zor. This marks the first formal meeting stemming from the March 10 agreement between the SDF and the Syrian transitional authorities.
Indeed, the talks are expected to outline the procedural and structural steps required to merge SDF units into the national army framework. The first round of negotiations is scheduled to begin later Monday, signaling a emerging phase in ongoing discussions between the two sides.
