SDF units raided his hideout in the town of Maskanah, east of Aleppo, and arrested him without casualties.

The statement stated that al-Hussein was leading a cell responsible for securing materials and equipment used in manufacturing car bombs intended for attacks targeting civilians and SDF fighters alike. The SDF noted that the operation was part of a broader security campaign conducted this month with Coalition backing, which has led to the dismantling of multiple ISIS cells and the arrest of multiple operatives and commanders. The SDF stressed that it will maintain its counterterrorism efforts to preserve civil peace and protect civilians from renewed terrorist threats.
