During the visit, leader al-Sharaa was briefed on the progress of the institutional and technical transformation program, as well as on plans to develop the banking infrastructure and strengthen financial stability.
The president also reviewed plans for upgrading internal work systems, oversight mechanisms, and national payment systems. He was briefed on preparations for the bank’s 2026–2030 strategy and procedures for replacing the national currency as per the highest technical standards.
President al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of developing the banking sector and enhancing its role as a key pillar in supporting the country’s economic development.
