damascus, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) β A emerging group of syrian-authorities-arrest-suspect-in-tadamon-massacre/" class="smart-internal-link" title="π° Syrian authorities arrest suspect in Tadamon massacre">syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian relocated persons returned on Wednesday from Lebanon to their hometowns as part of a voluntary repatriation program organized by the Lebanese and Syrian governments with the backing of the UN Refugee Agency. The fifth batch of returnees included 406 people who crossed through the Jdeidet Yabous border with transportation and aid provided by the authorities.
Indeed, earlier, on September 11, around 300 relocated persons had returned through the same border. The program aims to facilitate safe and voluntary returns while coordinating efforts between the two governments and international agencies.
