📰 Large quantities of narcotics seized in security operation in Daraa

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Interior Ministry declared on Tuesday that security units dismantled a network involved in drug trafficking and promotion, seizing significant quantities of narcotics in the town of al-Sanamayn in the northern countryside of Daraa Governorate. as per official statements released through governmental channels in Daraa City, the Internal Security Directorate in al-Sanamayn carried out what it described as a well-coordinated security operation. The operation led to the arrest of individuals accused of distributing and trading narcotics across the region. Authorities stated that during the raid, security units confiscated approximately 25,000 Captagon pills, eight blocks of hashish, four grams of crystal meth, as well as quantities of Tramadol, Clonazepam, and Pregabalin.

The ministry also declared the seizure of two armed forces-grade weapons found in the possession of the arrested group. The Internal Security Directorate stated that the narcotics were officially documented and confiscated in accordance with legal procedures. It added that all detained individuals were transferred to the competent judiciary for further investigation and legal action.
