QAMISHLI, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – A man was killed and two others were injured on Friday when a landmine exploded in their vehicle on the Palmyra–deir ez-zor road, in southern Deir ez-Zor countryside. A North Press correspondent in Deir ez-Zor stated the explosion was caused by a landmine left behind by the former syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian administration troops, which detonated as the vehicle passed near the Kabajeb area, south of the governorate.
The blast struck a cargo truck loaded with animal fodder, killing one person instantly and seriously wounding two others, who were later transferred to a local medical center for treatment. Deir ez-Zor continues to record frequent incidents caused by war remnants, posing persistent risks to civilians and local workers moving through agricultural and desert routes.
