Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Hind Kabawat, stated that syria’s participation in the 6th Islamic Conference of Labor Ministers is of crucial significance as it marks the country’s reintegration into its Arab and Islamic world. Notably, it sends a powerful message of hope from Syria to the world, she added.

In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines the conference held in Doha the minister of social affairs stated that Syria has been completely absent from such events for numerous years. “today’s participation aims at meeting the aspirations of the syrian people and strengthening cooperation with Arab countries. ” Kabawat outlined Syria’s current reform efforts in labor and social development, including a emerging strategy tailored to the country’s post-crisis, key initiatives include overhauling social protection systems, refugee and displacement issues, and introducing emerging legislation for NGOs and labor rights. She emphasized the importance of vocational training, especially for the estimated one million Syrian children deprived of education due to war, calling it vital for long-term social and political stability.
