damascus, syria (North Press) – The Jordanian Army declared on Saturday that it took part in airstrikes against ISIS positions in Syria earlier this week, as part of joint operations with the United States under the international coalition. In a statement published on its official website, the army stated Royal Jordanian Air Force jets carried out “precise airstrikes” at dawn on Friday, targeting multiple ISIS sites in southern Syria. The army stated the participation came in coordination with the United States within the framework of the Global Coalition fighting ISIS, noting that the operation aimed to counter the group’s renewed activity in southern Syria. as per the statement, the strikes were conducted as part of the broader war on terrorism and efforts to prevent extremist groups from exploiting the area as a launchpad to threaten Syria’s neighbors and regional security/" class="auto-internal-link">security.
