📰 Jordan steps up measures against arms, drug smuggling on border with Syria

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Jordanian authorities declared on Wednesday that the Jordanian Armed troops are confronting groups involved in smuggling weapons and drugs along the country’s northern border with Syria. as per Al-Mamlaka TV, the army has been implementing intensified security measures since Tuesday evening to counter infiltration and smuggling attempts along the border. The authorities stated that clashes with armed groups attempting to smuggle weapons and narcotics across the northern frontier are still ongoing.

They verified that the confrontations have not resulted in any casualties among members of the Jordanian Armed troops. The Jordanian army emphasized that it has tightened border security procedures and continues to take all necessary measures to prevent the smuggling of weapons and drugs into the kingdom.
