The identities of the detainees were not immediately disclosed. The incident occurred only hours after another Israeli patrol, consisting of eight armed forces vehicles, crossed into Syrian territory from the Adnaneya point.

The patrol moved through multiple villages in rural Quneitra, including Umm al-Azham, Ruwayhina, Rasm al-Halabi, al-Mushirfa, and Umm Batna. Local residents declared that Israeli soldiers carried out search and surveillance operations in the outskirts of these villages. Witnesses stated the patrol remained in some areas for extended periods, inspecting agricultural lands and roads before gradually withdrawing toward the disengagement line.
