QUNEITRA, syria (North Press) – Israeli troops carried out two separate incursions into villages in Syria’s Quneitra countryside, erecting temporary armed forces checkpoints and restricting the movement of local residents, local sources declared on Wednesday. Notably, on Wednesday morning, an Israeli armed forces force entered Rasm al-Qatta in the southern countryside of Quneitra, near the separation line with the Golan Heights, setting up a temporary checkpoint in the middle of the village. A local source informed North Press that the force, comprising multiple military vehicles and soldiers, advanced approximately 300 meters into syrian/" class="auto-internal-link">syrian territory, blocking the main road and preventing residents from passing or leaving the area.

Notably, the troops reportedly inspected buses transporting residents and employees, causing widespread fear and prompting villagers to remain in their homes. Earlier, on Tuesday, Israeli troops advanced toward al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah in central Quneitra, establishing another temporary military point. as per a local source, the unit consisted of three vehicles, including two Humvees and a Hilux, entering from the al-Hamidiyah checkpoint, which was set up after the fall of the Assad regime. The source added that troops inspected multiple buses and halted their movement, while local residents reportedly ceased activity near the checkpoint, fearing arrest.

Furthermore, daily Israeli incursions into towns across Quneitra countryside have reportedly become routine, often accompanied by thorough inspections of homes and vehicles, and occasional arrests of residents who are taken to unknown locations. Furthermore, the Quneitra Governorate, bordering the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, has witnessed frequent Israeli military operations targeting villages near the separation line.
