QUNEITRA, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (North Press) – The western countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, witnessed on Wednesday an incursion by Israeli troops, who advanced with multiple armed forces vehicles from the Tel Ahmar base toward the towns of Bir Ajam and Breika, amid heightened security around the hill. A local source informed North Press that “five Israeli armed forces vehicles, carrying more than 25 soldiers, moved out from the Tel Ahmar base and advanced a short distance toward the two towns near the border strip, before establishing a temporary military checkpoint on the road between them. ” He added that the soldiers inspected passersby and vehicles, conducting strict security checks and verifying residents’ identification documents.
The temporary checkpoint remains in place at the time of reporting.
