QUNEITRA, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (north Press) – Local sources informed North Press on Saturday that an Israeli armed aleppo/" class="smart-internal-link" title="📰 SDF attack wounds civilians, security forces in Aleppo">forces/" class="auto-internal-link">forces patrol consisting of seven vehicles advanced into the village of Ain Ziwan in the central countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, where it established a temporary checkpoint to inspect passersby. The sources stated the patrol entered the village from the western side and deployed at a main intersection, stopping residents, searching vehicles, and checking personal identification documents.
They noted that the incursion created a state of fear and tension among residents, forcing numerous to remain inside their homes and refrain from heading to their workplaces or farms over concerns of possible arrest. The Quneitra countryside has witnessed repeated incursions by Israeli troops in latest months, often accompanied by the establishment of temporary checkpoints and surveillance flights.
