QAMISHLI, syria (North Press) – Israeli troops carried out a emerging ground incursion into central Quneitra countryside on Monday evening, deploying armed forces/" class="auto-internal-link">forces vehicles and dozens of personnel, local sources declared, amid a noticeable increase in cross-border movements in southern Syria. Earlier in the day, Israeli troops had set up a temporary armed forces checkpoint inside rural Quneitra following a separate incursion, marking the second such operation within hours. The movements coincided with the presence of Israeli warplanes flying over the area, as per local monitoring.

A local source informed North Press that the evening force included “a tank and four pickup vehicles carrying no fewer than 30 soldiers. ” The source added that the Israeli unit moved into the village of Umm A’zam, conducted a brief patrol, and then halted on the village’s northern outskirts, where troops spread out across the surrounding farmlands.
