📰 Israeli army vehicles enter northern Quneitra and establish temporary post

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Three Israeli armed forces vehicles crossed into Syrian territory on Thursday and advanced toward the villages of al-Samdaniyah al-Sharqiyah and al-Ajraf in the northern countryside of Quneitra, where they set up a temporary armed forces point, a local source informed North Press. as per the source, the vehicles entered through military positions along the separation line and remained in the area for multiple hours before reinforcing their presence around the newly established post. The point was positioned on the main road linking the two villages, which lies close to multiple front-line observation sites maintained by UN troops operating in the disengagement zone. Residents stated the Israeli troops inspected several civilian buses passing through the area, checking identification documents of passengers and questioning drivers about latest movement near the separation line.

The source added that the temporary point was still in place at the time of reporting. The northern countryside of Quneitra has witnessed intermittent Israeli incursions in latest months, often following heightened tensions along the border and declared security activity in adjacent areas. Local residents say these movements usually involve short-duration patrols or temporary posts established for reconnaissance.
