QUNEITRA, syria/" class="auto-internal-link">syria (north Press) – israeli troops advanced on Wednesday into a village in the Quneitra countryside, southern Syria, and raided a house, coinciding with a field tour by a UN force in Beit Jinn in the damascus/" class="auto-internal-link">damascus countryside. Local sources informed North Press that an Israeli unit entered the village of Ofania in northern Quneitra and raided a house, conducting a thorough search without providing any explanation for the operation.

They added that the raid occurred at the same time that a team from the UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) was touring the vicinity of Beit Jinn in western Damascus, where it met with residents and assessed the damage caused by Israeli shelling last week. The sources noted that Israeli movements in the area have intensified in latest days, with troops entering nearby villages almost daily and provoking residents through temporary armed forces/" class="auto-internal-link">forces points they establish throughout the region.
