QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Israeli army stated on Saturday it detained a man suspected of being “handled by ISIS” during an overnight operation in southern Syria, and seized weapons at the site. Avichay Adraee, the Israel Defense troops (IDF) Arabic-language representative, stated on X, “In a nighttime operation, troops of the 474th Brigade arrested a suspect being handled by ISIS in southern Syria. ” He added, “The 52nd Battalion of the 474th Brigade completed a nighttime operation over the weekend in the al-Rafid area in southern Syria, during which a person suspected of involvement in terrorist activity and being handled by ISIS was apprehended. ” Adraee persisted, “The operation was carried out with the participation of field investigators of Unit 504, and the suspect was transferred for interrogation in the country.
