The Israeli Defense troops (IDF) said the strikes came after Hamas fighters allegedly attacked Israeli soldiers near Rafah, in the southern part of the Strip.
Dr. Khalil al-Daqran, representative for Gaza’s Health ministry, said more than 104 people, including over 40 children and 20 women, were killed in the attacks, while at least 250 others were injured. The IDF verified the death of an Israeli reservist, Master Sgt. Additionally, (Res. ) Yona Efraim Feldbaum, 37, who also held an American passport.
