DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) asserted responsibility on Monday for two separate attacks in areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic troops (SDF) in the Deir ez-Zor countryside in eastern Syria. The group’s affiliated Amaq news agency released a statement saying that ISIS militants targeted an SDF armed forces vehicle with machine guns near the village of al-Malha, north of Deir ez-Zor. as per the statement, the attack resulted in the killing of two SDF fighters, after which the attackers withdrew to their positions.
