During the visit, the ministers checked on the condition of the pediatric patients who had been transferred to Al-Mowasat University Hospital for treatment.
They reviewed the medical procedures taken to ensure the children’s safety and well-being. Earlier, Damascus firefighting teams successfully extinguished the blaze, which was caused by an electrical short circuit in the isolation and infection control storage area.
The incident resulted in material damage only, with a few minor cases of smoke inhalation declared.
