📰 Four Syrian security members killed in attack in Idlib countryside

QAMISHLI, internal-link">syria (North Press) – Four members of Syria’s internal security troops were killed and a fifth was wounded on Sunday after a gun attack targeted a security patrol in the city of Maaret al-Numan, in the southern countryside of Idlib province, northwest Syria. Security sources informed North Press that unknown gunmen opened fire on an internal security patrol while it was carrying out routine duties inside the city, resulting in fatalities and injuries among the patrol members. as per the sources, the attack was sudden, with the assailants using automatic weapons before fleeing the scene toward an unknown destination.

As of the time of reporting, security troops had not declared the arrest of any suspects. The wounded security member was transferred to the national Hospital in Maaret al-Numan for treatment, with medical sources describing his condition as moderate.

The bodies of the four victims were also taken to the same hospital to complete legal and administrative procedures. By Atoun Jan
