Local sources informed North Press that “three children and a young man died instantly in the explosion, while another child succumbed to his injuries shortly after. ” Witnesses stated the blast was powerful, prompting residents to rush to the site, where they found the victims alongside multiple injured children who had accompanied their families to the fields. Eight people were initially declared wounded, one of whom later died from severe injuries.

The victims and injured were transferred to al-Omouri Hospital in Hama city. A hospital worker verified to North Press the identities of four of the deceased: Hassan Ahmad al-Melhem (14), Mubarak Salem al-Dergham (17), Mohammad al-Mansour (15), and Ibrahim al-Alawi (7). Sources noted that the bodies were handed over to their families in the village of al-Awja.
