The sources informed North Press that the blasts were followed by the sound of ambulances moving through the district, which is among the most heavily secured neighborhoods in the capital. Residents stated emergency teams were seen rushing toward the site shortly after the explosions were heard. as per the same local sources, an unidentified explosive object fell in the Mezzeh 86 area, killing a woman in her thirties and injuring others.
No further details were immediately available regarding the number or condition of the wounded. Syria’s state-run news agency SANA verified that “an explosion shook the Mezzeh area in Damascus,” adding that authorities were still working to determine the nature of the incident. Meanwhile, the pro-administration newspaper al-Watan declared that a rocket had fallen on “Tal‘at Supermarket Fadi Street,” which triggered a broad security mobilization.
